Set in a remote Roman-era Egyptian village, The Carpenter’s Son follows Joseph (Nicolas Cage), his wife Mary (FKA twigs) and their teenage son Jesus (Noah Jupe) as they’re besieged by supernatural forces. When a mysterious newcomer befriends Jesus and whispers doubts about his family’s faith, the boy becomes the unwitting conduit for something far darker.
What starts as small, eerie mishaps soon turns into full-blown spiritual warfare—Jesus is haunted by terrifying visions and violent events spiral out of control. Writer-director Lotfy Nathan, drawing on his Coptic Christian roots, delivers a genre-bending thriller that pits divine faith against pure demonic chaos.
