Dracula Untold – Caravan of Garbage

This week the Caravan of Garbage crew dives into Dracula Untold, a cringeworthy Dark Universe flick that tries to recast the legendary bloodsucker as a Marvel/DC-style action hero. Luke Evans plays Vlad the Impaler—now a devoted family man eager to forget his grisly past—until an old rival shows up and forces him to embrace his inner Dracula.

The review’s main beefs? It’s absurdly thin on story (Dracula’s already in Marvel and DC, so why a standalone origin?), the tone swings wildly between schmaltz and monster-mayhem, and it leans on generic CGI brawls more than anything scary or original. In short: it’s a noble-ish Vlad, a forgettable villain, and one more misfire in Universal’s monster mash.
