Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief was Fox’s big attempt to bottle some Harry Potter magic by adapting Rick Riordan’s smash YA series—and even roping in franchise vet Chris Columbus to direct.
Unfortunately, it all feels half-baked and muddled, with a solid cast left treading water in an undercooked take on a world that deserved so much more.
