Scarlett Johansson just bulldozed her way to the top of Hollywood’s box-office leaderboard, racking up a $14.8 billion lifetime gross in lead roles—thanks largely to her new gig as dinosaur-slayer Zora Bennett in Jurassic World: Rebirth, which scored a $318 million global launch in its first six days. That haul edges out fellow MCU titans Samuel L. Jackson ($14.6 B) and Robert Downey Jr. ($14.2 B), with much of Johansson’s fortune coming from the Avengers films, Captain America: Civil War, Iron Man 2 and even her voice role in the Sing franchise.
Besides Marvel’s big earners, only Tom Hanks breaks into the top five without a cape or super-serum. Still, Downey Jr. could snatch back the crown when Avengers: Doomsday roars into theaters in December 2026—assuming Black Widow doesn’t pop back into the multiverse first, despite Johansson’s insistence that her MCU chapter is closed.
