At SDCC 2025, Avatar masterminds Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko confirmed that Steven Yeun—previously announced for the film back in March—is playing Prince Zuko (not Avatar Wan) in The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender, due October 9, 2026. Other cast members include Eric Nam as Aang, Dionne Quan as Toph, Jessica Matten as Katara, Román Zaragoza as Sokka and Dave Bautista as a mystery villain. It’s the first of three planned movies set years after the original series.
They also dropped the very first image from Avatar: Seven Havens, a new 26-episode 2D animated series about the next Earthbender Avatar after Korra.
