Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 just got its official shout-out at Anime Expo 2025, complete with a first poster visual and surprise appearances by director Hiroyuki Imaishi, voice stars Emi Lo (Lucy) and Zach Aguilar (David), plus writer/producer Bartosz Sztybor cracking jokes about making everyone sad. Sztybor even teased “David’s dead” and unplugged the crowd with his dry quip, “I wasn’t satisfied with the sadness… so I want you to be even more sad now.”
This raw, 10-episode chronicle of redemption and revenge is being steered by Kai Ikarashi (he rocked Episode 6 of the original), with a first teaser trailer already live. CD PROJEKT RED’s Michal Nowakowski has confirmed it’ll drop on Netflix “in due time,” so gear up for more Night City drama.
