'Cyberpunk: Edgerunners' Season 2 Announced

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 was officially unveiled at Anime Expo 2025 with a striking first poster and appearances by voice actors Emi Lo (Lucy), Zach Aguilar (David), producer Bartosz Sztybor and surprise guest director Hiroyuki Imaishi. Sztybor teased fans with his dark humor—“David’s dead”—and explained that Night City still has plenty of tragic stories to spill, promising even more emotional beats this time around.

The new 10-episode arc, directed by Kai Ikarashi (who helmed Episode 6, “Girl on Fire,” of the original), is billed as “a raw chronicle of redemption and revenge.” A teaser trailer dropped July 5, and CD PROJEKT RED’s co-CEO confirmed it’ll arrive on Netflix “in due time.” Given that the 2022 Trigger series swept awards for Best New and Original Anime, hype is already through the roof.
