Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 just got the green light at Anime Expo 2025, complete with its first poster visual and a surprise cameo from director Hiroyuki Imaishi. Voice stars Emi Lo (Lucy) and Zach Aguilar (David) joined writer/producer Bartosz Sztybor (who cheekily quipped “David’s dead” and admitted he wanted to make everyone even sadder) on a panel hosted by TheAnimeMan, where they also blasted “I Really Want to Stay At Your House” on repeat.
Set for another 10-episode dive into Night City—this time billed as “a raw chronicle of redemption and revenge”—the sequel is helmed by Kai Ikarashi (Episode 6 of the original). A teaser trailer dropped July 5, and CD Projekt Red’s Michał Nowakowski confirms it’ll land on Netflix in due time, so get ready for more cybernetic heartbreak.
