Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 officially got the green light at Anime Expo 2025, complete with a moody new poster visual and first teaser trailer. Voice stars Emi Lo (Lucy) and Zach Aguilar (David Martínez) joined producer Bartosz Sztybor—and surprise guest Hiroyuki Imaishi—to dish on the upcoming 10-episode sequel, described as “a raw chronicle of redemption and revenge,” now directed by Kai Ikarashi (who handled Episode 6 of the original).
Sztybor cheekily warned “David’s dead” and promised the new series will dial the sadness even higher—because Night City never runs out of dark stories. Netflix will stream it “in due time,” so brace yourself for more cyber-mayhem and heart-wrenching twists.
