Jon Stewart says he’s totally unbothered by rumors that Skydance might pull the plug on The Daily Show once its Paramount deal closes. On his podcast, he joked, “I’ve been kicked out of shittier establishments,” and insists the show’s a key asset (alongside South Park) that brings eyeballs to Comedy Central—though he worries Skydance might just “sell the whole f–king place for parts.”
He’s been especially critical of Paramount’s recent $16 million settlement with Trump to grease that merger, calling it a “shakedown” and quipping (à la Goodfellas) that it sounds illegal. Bottom line: Stewart’s ready to land on his feet, but hopes any new owners actually value what he and the team bring to the table.
