Julian McMahon, the Aussie actor who lit up screens as Dr. Christian Troy on Nip/Tuck and the Human Torch in the early-2000s Fantastic Four movies, died July 2 in Clearwater, Florida after a private battle with cancer. He was 56 and also memorably played Cole Turner on Charmed and starred in FBI: Most Wanted.

In a heartfelt statement, his wife Kelly McMahon said he passed away peacefully after a “valiant effort” and asked for privacy as the family grieves. She celebrated his love—for life, family, friends, work and fans—and encouraged everyone who found joy in his performances to keep that spark alive.
