Seth MacFarlane gushed on the The Town podcast about South Park’s lightning-fast two-week production cycle, calling Matt Stone and Trey Parker’s day-to-day involvement “incredible”—especially compared to Family Guy’s 10-month-to-a-year turnaround. He praised how Season 27 nailed a viral, down-to-the-day Trump takedown, something he admits his own team couldn’t pull off.
That admiration is ironic given their years-long feud: South Park’s 2006 “Cartoon Wars” mocked Family Guy writers as manatees, Family Guy fired back in 2009, and Parker famously declared “we do hate” MacFarlane’s show. Seth says he still doesn’t know where the “venom” comes from—blaming it on differing tastes—while his new Naked Gun reboot hits theaters now.
