Stephen Colbert’s “Late Show” just hit a career-high in the wake of its cancellation notice, snagging a 12.63% weekly share (the best since 2015) and an average of 3.059 million viewers—more than his 11:35 p.m. rivals combined. In the prized 18–49 demo he jumped 64% week-over-week, topping late night and peaking on Monday’s episode when a posse of late-night hosts crashed his post-monologue bit.
Meanwhile at 10 p.m. Greg Gutfeld held strong on Fox News with over 3.25 million viewers (206 K in 18–49), and Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show” under Josh Johnson saw its demo swell by 35%, landing it second only to Colbert last week.
